So, about me… my least favorite subject but for those of you whom I have not met, and wonder what this chick is all about, here it goes.

Food enthusiast interested in all things cuisine: ingredients, techniques and just random knowledge of what creates the distinction between average and outstanding food. In the past few years I have really learned to appreciate good wine, and have become educated enough to offer pairing suggestions and distinguish the flavors in a good glass.

Finally, I have been fortunate to travel quite a bit and discover an array of new flavors that I didn’t know existed. Case in point, the header image on this blog: the hills outside of San Gimignano, Italy. Between 2004 and 2007 I ran a successful personal chef business, and while I have chosen to focus on mommy hood for now, I still use this blog as my connection to the culinary world.

To add to that, I took for granted the incredible flavors brought on by my upbringing, until others started raving over what I considered “every day food”.How I landed here? I have spent sometime communicating with my clients through a somewhat seasonal newsletter; after creating a personal blog to document our son’s adoption journey to Russia, I have a new favorite method of sharing this passion of mine: blogging.
It is my hope to become a source for many things “cuisine”, and to have you coming back for seconds as I share with you my quest for Finding New Flavors
